Producing mainly in small capacity, Aprilia has done quite well with its first big sports car. Its engine, a twin V open at 60 °, is a technological gem. In addition to injection, it is equipped with a pneumatic clutch assistance system for downshifting gears. Coupled, powerful, flexible enough and with a nice extension, the mill is very pleasant to use. It is a hypersport, but not as exclusive as its competitor in Bologna.
Above all, it is easier to manage, even if piloting requires investment. The bike requires the rider to use his body to place it – you can get there without a second thought thanks to the reassuring and efficient front axle. Aprilia can be enjoyed on the track as well as on a daily basis. With conciliatory suspensions, pleasant controls and a protective fairing, we are dealing with a generous sports car in many ways. Some regrets, however: the rear shock absorber does not accept small shocks on bumpy roads. As for the brakes, a little more bite on heavy braking would not be too much..
With obvious qualities, the RSV is seen as one of the best sports twins on the market. Its behavior makes it as efficient and much less demanding than a 996. A machine capable of much more than it looks..
