For 2003, the RSV 1000 R is satisfied with small evolutions. We must admit that the Italian is already at a very high level in the hierarchy of hypersports. Always equipped with suspensions Öhlins, the real novelty is the appearance of Brembo brake calipers with radial mounting. Aesthetically, only the design of the saddle and the mudguard are modified. Mechanically, Aprilia wanted to improve the potential of the RSV. The box is retouched, with the first three reports lengthened. OZ signed rims are 1 kg lighter. With that, the Italian should get even better, without losing any of her superb qualities. Braking as the engine promises to be very effective. A comparison with the other Italian hypersport promises to be nasty. Its rival and designated compatriot, the Ducati 999, absolutely cannot stand the comparison … except in its racing version, but the price difference becomes decidedly indecent. By the way, if the € 16,000 puts you off a bit, take a close look at the normal version of the RSV. Barely less efficient (only the pros will benefit from the more elaborate suspensions of the R), it constitutes a choice alternative which benefits from the same evolutions, with the exception of the radial brake calipers.
