In 2002, Aprilia offered a limited series of its RSV 1000 R: the Haga Replica, taking the aesthetic of the Japanese rider’s Superbike. Faced with the success obtained, the factory draws again using the same weapons but changes the name of the chosen one: it will be Colin Edwards. For 2 000 € more than the RSV 1000 R (already very well equipped), you will benefit from the specific decoration of Colin’s machine, a sublime openwork and blue anodized triple clamp with the name of the pilot, a double Akrapovic exhaust, some extra carbon parts and modified mapping.
And worse, if you want a little more fun, there is also in a small bag a pinion of 16 teeth and an electronic chip to give even more life to the Italian twin. It gains 3 hp compared to the RSV R and even still 2 with the chip, a certain dose of efficiency and provides even more fun. A little apprehension before turning it on the circuit …? Admire it again, especially its equipment: suspensions Öhlins, inverted fork, radial calipers, original Pirelli Super Corsa tires ;-). The Edwards Replica is a sweet madness, as efficient or even more than a 999 S, but much cheaper. Certainly, its price is significant, but at this price, you can drive great potential with a little dream in your hands.
