The early 90s shook Italy a lot, with the revival of one of its most famous manufacturers. In 1994, there was a big shock in the world of sports: Ducati created the 916, and the Superbike changed. The year before, it was a shock in the roadster industry.
A quarter of a century celebrated with this special Monster series, glorified in this edition "25th Anniversario". Ducat has taken care to create a particularly desirable interpretation of his fetish roadster, worthy of the cult and envy revolving around this motorcycle. First, let’s dress her up! The colors of the Italian flag are used, as for the outstanding productions of the brand (1098 S Tricolore, Panigale V4 Speciale, 1299 panigale R Final Edition, etc …). The first Monster was not lacking in character, with an engine from another era. Its 904 cc L-twin with 2 valves per cylinder, carbs, desmo and air cooling spewed out 73 horsepower. The technological leap is a game-changer. Based on the 1200 Monster S, this "25th anniversary" – strong 1198 cm3, 8 valves, injection, advanced technology and multiple piloting assistance – balance 147 horsepower at 9250 rpm. A plane.
The chassis is to match. 48mm inverted fork, mono shock and steering damper Öhlins, Brembo brakes with 4-piston M50 calipers and 330 mm discs, aluminum single-spoke, weight contained 184 kilos dry.
