With a startling evolution, the Monster "mid-size" strengthens its position while opening up new possibilities and a wider field of action. With a powerful (112 horsepower) and modern Testastratta engine (liquid cooling – 4 valves / cylinder), the 821 Monster has responsiveness, character, and above all, mouth.
Like some members of the Ducati family, the 821 Monster is available in a Dark version. With a key word: black. A deep and anonymous color, in a mat tone to cover the beast. The rims and frame also vanish in the shade. The bright colors only managed to conquer two strongholds: the shock absorber spring (yellow) and the tank’s MONSTER logo (red). In addition to appreciating this dark side, the 821 Monster calls out by its price. In this color, it fell just under 10,000 euros when it was released. Today, inflation pushes it through this psychological barrier – but we retain the advantage of a big purple over the standard 821. Without taking anything away from the tempting panoply: alluring design, minimalist trellis frame, fiery twin, 3-level ABS, 8-level anti-slip, 3 Riding Modes, large inverted fork and Brembo braking. We just regret, as on the standard 821, the disappearance of the single-sided arm…
