After a year of existence in the catalog, the Scout Bobber hardly changed in 2019. With 4 new colors on the program, this stripped down and lowered Indian retains its dark character with less flashy tones than on the classic Scout or the Sixty: Thunder Black (shiny black), Thunder Black Smoke (matt black), White Smoke (matt white) and Bronze Smoke (matt bronze) are therefore present in a 50 shades darker palette.. The only real ‘technological’ improvement made in 2019: the arrival of a USB port which is added next to the meter. Minimal, certainly, but the kind of little detail that makes the difference for a generation that is ever more connected to the point of first checking if the iPhone charger is in the backpack before thinking of charging water bottles and food. Standard on this 2019 version, this USB charger kit is also optional for owners of a 2018 model who would like to upgrade their Bobber.
"I have an Indian". When a biker announces this, several reactions are raised. Either we believe that you have an old blaster from the interwar period, or we place you as a follower of the beautiful American on the handlebars of a big ship full of legend..
Except that here, we play the rebels. Just specify: "She’s a Scout, the Bobber version."
And there, it laughs more !!!
Because Indian has decided to shake up its sector. And for fans of sensations and stripped-down motorcycles, the bobber is the machine that lends itself best to exercise.
The Scout was the natural candidate in the range of Springfield to use to the office. Its modern hot Iroquois engine is just waiting to tighten the frame and the biker from the top of its 94 horsepower. But above all, it must be given a stripped down aspect; that’s the rule of thumb. Indian took out the tomahawk to give the rear fender a big blow. Almost half of it was cleared. The one on the front appears to have been cut out with protrusion and minimalism. A headlight cowl gives this Scout Bobber a more menacing look, while Street Tracker handlebars and toe clips moved 38mm to the rear give a more aggressive riding position..
The duo of exhausts is covered in black, and ventilated pipe protections. The general line has been lowered, thanks to a revised rear suspension; the front benefits from a new cartridge fork.
Rebel, and almost savage. The Indian Scout Bobber challenges the roads with its studded tires mounted on specially designed rims. Wheels very hidden, very dark, like certain elements swallowed up at night on this version for bad boys. The back of the meter, the mirrors, the turn signals go through. Conversely, a good blow of the grinder on the cylinder heads causes the metal to spurt into the retina. Finally, the Bobber insists on its identity with a two-tone saddle and a new Indian logo on the sides of the tank.
This Scout tends towards minimalism, a touch of style that appeals in neighborhoods where only the authority of the piston rules.
"I have a Scout Bobber !". This time, it is the taste of metal and hot gum in the mouth that is expressed.
