Medium displacement variation of the Z 1000 – which is a hit in France – here is the Z 750. A true clone of the big sister, it takes many components, adapted to the need. The engine is still that of the ZX-9R but re-sheathed to go down to 748 cm3 and equipped with a double butterfly injection. Goodbye exhaust flutes: the original 4-into-2-into-4 line of the 1000 is once again a classic 4-in-1. The fork is traditional without adjustment possibilities. The small Z does not display any technological debauchery and plays the card of the price but especially of the design: we find the fork crown (slightly modified) of the 1000, the same engine size, the same frame design, as well as the instrumentation, the tank and the hull so particular. With this thug face, let’s bet that the Z 750 will take the commercial aspi of the elder.

In the chapter of the analysis, note that the Z 750 must be satisfied with simple black rims, we lose the small touches of tuning such as the ends of painted engine casings, and the beautiful aluminum handlebars are replaced by a steel model. The essential remains: this villainous face of a thug. But no rebellion for the grip. The saddle is at the right height, the legs slightly bent without excess, and the pilot resting on the handlebars. The advantage of 4 good bowls in the mill is the guarantee of very appreciable flexibility, and that of the Z is exemplary. The injection is onion, free of inertia or sequential blur, and proud of a refined regularity. The advantage of block 7 and 1/2 is its mid-range potential. The boiler has really in the belly of 4 to 8000 trs. The measurements give more thefficiency at Z 1000 but the sensational aspect of this zone is absent in the big brother, and it is a real pleasure to take advantage of this vigorous rev range on the 750. A very good point. Once you have passed the milestone of 8000 trs, the Kawa paw remembers your fond memories: a good dose of potato and rage. With the law of 100 hp, this angry behavior at high speeds will certainly be stifled but we should keep the trunk at mid-speeds. The machine adapts very well to this ardor. Easy, it drives with ease and lightness. The front axle is lively, precise, and largely adequate for the greatest number. It is not as rigorous as that of the 1000, and fishing a bit in severe use – but let’s not forget that this is a nervous roadster and not the machine of "Fast Sébil".

The comfort is not that of a GT but remains correct. The wind pressure will be bearable as long as you respect the speed limits. Then your arms will automatically calm you down. No brake shoes of a ZX-6 RR to slow down the turbulent Z: we do not find the bite of the Kawa sports cars but the efficiency is largely present, and this is appreciable for young Z-ists who will have to do the hand – brutal braking in the wet, it calms! The rear, hardly convincing, will have to be limited to the role of retarder. In the market for wanton roadsters, Kawa presents a weapon that could be fatal. A nasty but appreciated pretty face, an enthusiastic driving behavior, a price of 600 for the services of the superior category … a hornet and Fazer eater; and even Z 1000, because the 750 is easier, more efficient and more sensational. A Zest of passion will do the rest.
