Sales inspector at Kawasaki in 1975, then Bell importer, founder of Shoei France, general manager of Triumph France and, above all, sales director at Suzuki France for almost 20 years: François Etterlé had participated in the success of very big motorcycle brands in France.

This young retiree and inveterate pilot has just left us at the age of 68 … It is another great figure of motorcycling in France who has just announced his death: Alain Cottard (Suzuki dealer in Rouen, colleague of François’s work and playmate) was warned this morning by Sylvie, his wife…

Retired four years ago, "Etterlé San" had remained very active in the world of motorcycles: he had notably written his memoirs "Haï, Haï!"

Particularly touched by the disappearance – two years ago almost to the day – of his other teammate Robert Doron, François also continued to survey motorcycle shows and circuits … !

Only four days ago, this very young grandfather (only 68 years old) was delighted to have passed his blood tests, received his GSX-S750 of competition and obtained his FFM 2018 pass. The amazement and the sadness of those close to him are now even bigger.
