Taking advantage of the fashion phenomenon represented by the category "scrambler", Yamaha presents one from the XV950 model.
A scrambler-style handlebars, a slightly raised exhaust, a flat saddle, 17-inch rear and 19-inch front wheels, fork gaiters and a few touches here and there.
For the suspensions, we are entitled to a conventional fork of 41 mm in diameter and 135 mm of travel. At the rear, two cylinder shock absorbers with 110 mm travel. Braking is provided by two discs (one front and one rear) of the "wave" 298 mm in diameter, supported by standard ABS.
The dashboard consists of a tinted LCD screen and the machine has a small box under the saddle. The latter peaks at 830mm and the ground clearance is 145mm.
All this little world is of course euro4 standards.
The air-cooled 942 cm3 V-twin engine with its torque of 8.1 mkg placed at 3000 rpm as well as its typical tires "off the beaten track" can get you out of a lot of off-road situations. Not unpleasant to the eye and with a resolutely adventurous look, this bike seems playful and pleasant to take. All things considered: it remains a custom, sprinkled with a look for meadows and dust. And while remaining reasonable of course! Because the secondary transmission is operated by a belt. This one may not like the repeated passages in the stones or whatnot in the undergrowth.
